About Cheryl Key

20 years experience in the NHS as Chartered Registered Physiotherapist. Working in busy specialist clinics alongside Orthopaedic Consultants as a Clinical Specialist assessing and treating complex musculo-skeletal patients. Special interest in back and neck pains, sciatica and sports injuries. Also those more chronic resistant aches and pains that have not eased with other forms of therapy.
Now working privately in Sketty at Sketty Therapies offering a Professional and friendly service tailored to the individual. Hour long treatments mean your appoinment is not rushed and the best possible treatment can be given.
We also have a great team that provide many other treatments including couselling, hypnotherapy, massage, acupuncture, reflexology, aromatherapy, sports massage, reflexology etc.
Home visits available. Bupa registered as well as most major insurance companies.

My training, work experience and any achievement

Trained as a Chartered Physiotherapist at the oswestry orthopaedic hospital renown for its excellence in orthopaedics. worked in south wales and hereford hospitals before embarking on a private career 3 years ago. Had worked up to the highest grades as a clinical specialist and extended scope practitioner in the NHS.
Embarked on fascial courses and the start of craniosacral courses in 1996 and have a Diploma in Craniosacral therapy (CST).
Have participated in birth courses for CST and currently in my 4th year of specialist study of the ’Baby Body Language’ with Karlton Terry. Karlton is a leading American Psychologist, he has spent many years studying and working with babies and their families. This approach looks at the subtle communication a baby makes to express the trauma they have experienced during the birth process.
